My love of the sea with all her moods has always been inspirational to me since my childhood
Having a passion for swimming in the ocean and being at the beachside is so relaxing and comforting
I am fascinated with the reflections from the skies and the light that play upon the sea and create movement especially underwater. I have painted many underwater scenes depicting the ebb and flow of the tides.
I have spent many years painting marine themed subjects and have become known as the ‘fish woman’. These paintings have become very popular but lately I have returned to painting the sea as I just love the colours and shadows
After studying with Freya Dade, Anthony Prout OBE and David Taylor for years in watercolour, I am now using acrylic paint to intensify the colours I love..
