I strive for my art to tell a story, to capture the silence as a river awakens, breathes and embraces the day or the way a sunset or sunrise chooses to light a post or tree and leave other areas dark, how water moves, rushes or is glossy and silent.
There is no definite plan or definite subject for my work I start with an idea but then just let the process speak to me as I go, always changing and developing. I only paint in luscious, beautiful oils, layers and layers of colour creating depth, brushstrokes can be raw and heavy or soft as soft.
I see painting as visual emotions and the joy for me is to let the action of painting lead me along, let the subject blossom without constraint or rules so each piece is its own story.
