Tasmanian-born artist Anna Abell has been creating art since early childhood, developing a lifelong connection to creative expression.
Working across painting and drawing, her practice explores the quiet beauty and mystery of the natural world. Inspired by organic forms, light, water and the delicate structures found in nature, Abell’s work often evokes a sense of calm, reflection and subtle movement.
Using inks and mixed media, she creates layered and atmospheric compositions where transparency and fluidity play an important role. Her paintings frequently suggest botanical forms, shifting landscapes and natural patterns that appear both familiar and dreamlike.
